Home Care
Respite Care
Sometimes you need time for yourself, especially when you care for someone else. Respite care allows you to take a well-earned break, whilst your loved one is looked after.
Whether you’re heading off on holiday, in need of a short break or require emergency support, Serene Healthcare can provide you with respite care services within 12 hours. So no matter how quickly you need us, you can rest safe in the knowledge that your loved one will receive quality care and support from a friendly team of fully trained carers.
When you get in touch with us, one of our qualified care advisors will talk you through your options for respite care services. We can arrange a home visit to fully understand your needs and support you every step of the way, so you get the respite you deserve.

What is Respite Care?
Respite care services provide temporary care, which enables carers or loved ones to have a break from their regular care duties. This type of home care allows your loved ones to remain at home, where they are comfortable, without disturbing day-to-day routines – all whilst still receiving the care they need. Here at Serene Healthcare, we offer two types of respite care at home: Live-In Care services or Visiting Care services.- Live in care – This temporary care option provides your loved one with dedicated, around-the-clock care from one of our professional and compassionate care workers throughout the day and night.
- Visiting care – Whether it’s popping in for a friendly chat or helping with day-to-day tasks, visiting care provides extra support for a couple of hours a day or each week, depending on the needs of your loved one.
- Personal care – Help with washing, getting dressed, and help getting in and out of bed.
- Domestic support – Help with everyday tasks, from hanging washing to putting away dishes and ensuring the house is clean, tidy and safe.
- Help with mealtimes – Whether your loved one cooks their meals from scratch or receives meal deliveries, our carers are here to ensure they eat a balanced and fulfilling diet, and will happily help with meal prep, support with eating and clearing away after mealtimes.
- Companionship – A friendly face to chat to, rely on and enjoy their company.

Palliative Care
As part of our palliative care at home service, we ensure that:
• We achieve the best quality of life for you, as well as your family.
• You are treated as an individual, with dignity and respect.
• We will provide you with a personalised care plan that will take into account your needs, preferences and choices.
• We also like to ensure continuity of care, which is why we only select individual Carers to work with you and get to know your personality and preferences.
Physical Disability Support
Arthritis, physical disabilities, and age-related conditions are some of the few circumstances that prevent patients from caring for themselves. Our caregivers can assist you with daily tasks such as mobility, eating, exercising, and grooming.
